Deleted Scenes
Here is the first deleted scene from Not A Fire Exit for your reading "pleasure", and I warn you it is completely unedited, and therefore full of typos, missing words, etc. This is the original opening, which is now the prologue, but in the first draft spanned chapters 1 and 2. I haven't even looked at this in months, and perhaps you can see the value of having an editor, as it's comical some of the stuff I tried in here (I had forgotten all about Reiki).
Though there are many plot deviations from this draft to the final version, you can see in this draft the opening scene involved a woman named Julia, and her husband Steve, who was not dead in the first draft (or the next few drafts). Dr. Schad had a different personality, and I make a lot of movie references. So enjoy the original prologue of Not A Fire Exit!
